     PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS PASSED.

The peer review process for your 1800+ regular submissions is progressing rapidly. already underway. The corresponding authors of these papers can view their cover sheet or manuscripts. However, the database for these regular submissions is UNTOUCHABLE until the end of the review process. In other words, there cannot be changes made since these papers have been sealed and turned over to the Twelve (12) Technical Committees for review. Please refrain from sending requests for corrections, which will NOT be honored.

We are still planning on announcing the first phase of the Technical Program (Notification of Acceptance) on January 24, 2000 and in the meantime, please do not forget to mail the ICASSP2000 Copyright Form to CMS.

Things to do:
1. Read the Paper Preparation first, regarding the format of your paper. You should use the Sample Paper and Templates to help you prepare your manuscript. You should also see the instructions for Abstract Preparation.

2. Prepare a postscript version of your camera-ready paper, at most 4 pages long, including figures and references.
If you need help with Postscript or Adobe Acrobat files, then click here

3. Please select an appropriate subcategory either from the  Technical Session Categories  or from the Industry Technology Track (ITT) Sessions for your paper. Please note that the regular paper categories start with an index "1" through "11," whereas, the ITT sessions have "12" as their first digit.

4. You may now proceed to submitting your coversheet and paper. Please make sure that you have completed steps 1-3 before proceeding to the Electronic Paper Submission procedure.

5. Fill out one copy of the Copyright Form.

6. Mail the properly signed Copyright Form to: Conference Management Services - ICASSP2000, 3109 Westchester Avenue, College Station, TX 77845-7919, USA.

7.  Prospective authors without web access or other software tools should contact Conference Management Services at least two weeks before the Nov. 12, 1999 deadline to receive special exemption and instructions to complete the submission process. We recommend these authors to use e-mail, phone or fax to contact CMS.

Things NOT to do:

1. No papers will be accepted by FAX.

2. No individual may appear as an author on more than five paper proposals. Please note that this rule supersedes the "three authorship rule" used in prior ICASSPs.

3. No individual may appear as the first or sole author on more than one paper proposal.

4. No papers will be accepted after November 19, 1999.

5. Papers exceeding 4-pages long will be rejected without review.
